We Help Homeless Individuals:
We serve 10 homeless guest in our 12-month Advocate House Program. Those in our program are instructed in Biblical principles, work ethic, practical job skills, and are given counseling to help them learn to change how they respond to problems that previously brought them to the rescue mission. They experience a warm and caring environment and a serving each other atmosphere.
Advocate UCC works to end homelessness, one person at a time, via a holistic approach — addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our guests. We have five facilities, each serving the needs of different segments of the homeless population. We serve men, women, and children who have lost jobs, faced eviction, been abused, battled addictions, fought mental illness, and much more. God cares about the whole person, and so do we.
We Minster Outside our Walls:
Our Outreach Ministry occurs 4th Friday of every month. Outreach Team takes the gospel to the street by visiting areas with high homeless populations. During the visit, individuals get a healthy meal, clothing, shoes, toiletries and most importantly, the Good News of Jesus Christ.
